Accountant, Poland- Fixed Term Contract

Reports to: Accounting & Tax Manager Poland

 

 

Position Overview

Following our International Finance department expansion, Mindray Poland is searching for a high caliber,

target driven, and results orientated Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting with the

finance and accounting in our Polish subsidiary of Mindray Europe.

 

 

Financial Accounting

  • Assisting with financial reporting and monthly reconciliations within prescribed timeframes. (Closing of month end 2.5 days).
  • Review and approval of purchase requests, invoices and employee expenses within Concur invoice platform, together with providing support to employees on concur processes.
  • Reconciling accounting records and filling in balance confirmations to vendors.
  • Assisting in preparing financial records and ensuring proper archiving.
  • Supporting year end closing process, including preparation of financial statements and assisting in audit processes

 

Taxes & Compliance

  • Assisting in preparing tax documentation and ensuring proper archiving.
  • Maintaining VAT registers and performing preliminary reconciliations for VAT returns.
  • Supporting the preparation and completion of tax forms as well as preparing ad hoc reports and
  • financial data when required.
  • Monitoring changes in tax regulations

Management & department development

  • Report regularly to Accounting & Tax Manager , Poland and support ad-hoc requirements.
  • Assist in new software implementations and projects
  • Providing backup support for Accounting & Tax Manager duties when required.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional accounting qualification/accounting degree with strong previous experience in anaccounting role.
  • In depth and working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, Polish GAAP etc.)
  • Strong experience of VAT/CIT and related legislations
  • Knowledge and professional experience of SAP S4 HANA – would be an advantage.
  • 5 years+ experience in financial accounting and tax role in Poland
  • English – communicative level
