The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mindray Australia in a newly created role as an Ultrasound Service Engineer. As our business grows, we are looking for a motivated and skilled professional to support, maintain, and optimize our ultrasound equipment across Australia. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our devices operate at peak performance, directly impacting patient care and the success of our business. This role offers variety, challenges, and the chance to grow alongside a company that values innovation, expertise, and collaboration.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Respond to customer technical requests and provide professional support, including on-site and workshop service.
  • Complete all planned Preventative Maintenance (PM) services on time and to the standards outlined in the service manual.
  • Conduct new installations with all required checks and tests.
  • Maintain service-related documentation and update records in the CRM system.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing teams with pre-sale technical support.
  • Effectively manage the service area, including promoting new contracts and liaising with customers for renewals.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment, liaising with team members to ensure proper calibration.
  • Track and maintain both parts and loaner inventories allocated to this location.
  • Share responsibility with other engineers for after-hours service calls.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant degree in Biomedical Engineering and/or Engineering; previous experience in medical devices highly regarded.
  • Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of technically complex ultrasound systems; ideally, experience in a team-based service environment.
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build respectful and trusting business relationships.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A fast learner with a curious and proactive mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
