Your Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive the best possible Service support. You will provide professional expertise (including IT support) for Mindray products, serving as a centre of expertise for customers, your team, and other Service Engineers throughout the Netherlands, this coupled with typical field service elements, means no two days will be the same!
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Perform new equipment installations, upgrades, and post-installation testing.
- Product Feedback: Provide feedback on product performance, workflow issues, and anomalies encountered in the field to facilitate service improvements.
- Collaboration: Communicate with sales representatives and support other activities, such as conventions and trade shows.
- Innovation: Work with customers to establish service contract needs and identify the most appropriate solutions.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service and support.
- Customer Training: Train customers to maximize their benefits in using Mindray equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve rare technical issues with Mindray products.
- IT Technical Support: Provide IT technical support to service engineers and customers.
- Bridge and Escalation Point: Act as a bridge and escalation point between the Service Team and the IT Product Specialists.
- Service IT Lead: Working closely with the current IT Service engineer, you will act as a Service IT lead for installations and coordinate IT challenges/workload in line with company structure.
- System Faults and Diagnostics: Assist with IT system faults and diagnostics.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Assist with training, sharing knowledge, and developing Field Service Engineers (FSEs).
- Documentation: Assist with the completion of site drawings, documentation, and notes.
- Wireless Site Survey: Ability to carry out a wireless site survey and analyse the results.
- Collaboration with IT Product Team: Work closely with the Local IT Product team (IT product specialists).
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree level or equivalent (High level diploma) in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology with relevant experience in servicing electronic equipment.
- Good knowledge of medical devices (including IT networks) and related components.
- Technically proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Electronic Medical equipment, or demonstrate experience in working on similar electronic equipment.
- Knowledge of IP Networks and associated hardware, both wired and wireless is desirable.
- Understanding of TCP/IP and other associated protocols is desirable.
- Knowledge of Desktop and Server operating systems – primarily Microsoft based W7, W10, Svr2008, Svr2012 is desirable.
- Understanding of HL7, both the protocol and how it integrates with hospital systems is desirable.
- Understanding of general hospital systems, DICOM, Imaging, PACS, PAS, EMR is desirable.
- Understanding of Mirth and its practical uses is desirable.
- Fluent in Dutch, with strong business English – both written and spoken.
- Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Willing to travel 40% of the time (mainly within the Netherlands, but could include Benelux and Nordics if required).
- Full, clean driving license.
- Ability to work in the Netherlands without the requirement of company sponsorship.
