The Service team supports customers within the field with their engineering requirement.  In this role, the team ensures our customers receive the best possible service support and service is consistently of the highest quality.  The focus is on supporting customers with regular servicing, resolving issues and installations of new equipment. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Drive and coach the Field Service Team in South of Germany.
  • Keep regular and close communication with National Service Manager and service engineers to clearly understand the business needs and customer needs.
  • Take responsibility for the effective management of designated service area including promoting new contracts and liaising with customers for renewals.
  • Assists the project manager on installations within assigned service territory and coordinating the installation of large orders if required.
  • Assist sales and marketing team with tender opportunities as technical support and to promote service contracts.
  • Assists the Service Manager in developing and maintaining a set technical training schedule for internal Technicians/Engineers.
  • Completing all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on time and to the levels outlined in the service manual.
  • Delivering Technical training for internal and external engineers/technicians.
  • Escalate and follow up important issues for the German Service team.
  • Drive the service team development into the different product area.
  • Participate in the establishment of local call centre and technical support platform.
  • Support National Service Manager in the strategy from the Region or HQ in implementing locally.
  • Create and follow all administrative task required to conduct targets achievement .

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology alongside some experience servicing electronic equipment, or a High School Diploma (HND/HNC) with significant experience in servicing electronic equipment.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
  • Technically proficient in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Electronic Medical equipment, or demonstrate experience in working on similar Electronic equipment.
  • Coaching/Mentoring experiences is a must
  • Well-organised, able to function independently with minimum supervision.
  • Customer orientated, with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic together with a can-do attitude.
  • Acute decision making skills and the ability to discuss and resolve service issues with Service Supervisor/Manager.
  • Must be familiar with computer and office software.
  • Willingness to be in a field based role, supporting customers and travelling as required to perform the role
  • Experience in delivering Technical based Training.
  • Ability to work in Germany without the requirement of company sponsorship
