IVD Product Specialist, Urine / Microbiology, Italy

An exciting opportunity is now available for an expert to support the growth of our IVD business in this dedicated segment, you will be highly results driven, commercially focused and will work closely with the sales team and distributor for IVD to support the sales process through your product knowledge on pre-sales demonstrations, application support, tender process and marketing support, particularly in key account breakthrough.

As a subject matter expert, this role will be shaped by the right candidate, you will be a self-starter, with an unquestionable influencing and negotiation skills, energized by a varied and fast-paced role. Your responsibilities:

Market Intelligence:

 

  • Responsible for the investigation and analysis of the Urine and Microbiology market in Italy (including industry trends, customer products/procurement/promotion/price requirement).
  • Determine customers' needs and requirements, including clinical demand of assigned product lines
  • Analyze Italian market development in assigned product lines and Clinical Diagnosis trends , etc.

 

Sales and Marketing team support:

 

  • Support the Italian distributors network with the formulation and implementation of  marketing strategy and clinical demand promotion for current and new customers
  • Support the distributors with product trainings as well as end-users onsite presentations
  • Support the distributor and sales team in tenders management.

 

Promotions:

 

  • Support in national conferences in case of need.

 

Product management

 

  • Collect from local information for current and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes reporting with National Marketing manager and European team.
  • Support new product launches

 

Customer Relationship Management:

 

  • Identify and map the major key opinion leaders (KOLs) /experts in in Italy on assigned product lines

 

Technical Expertise:

 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in IVD technology, diagnostic assays, and laboratory equipment.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing scientific publications;
  • Provide technical guidance to customers and sales teams regarding product features, usage, and troubleshooting.

 

Collaboration:

 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams

 

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

 

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including new IVDR) for product documentation, labeling, and claims.

 

 

 

 

 

What are we looking for in you?

  • At least 5 years working experience in in-vitro diagnostics industry, prefer to have Product & Marketing experience in Urine and/or Microbiology field
  • Bachelor degree in Scientific field. Master degree in Microbiology or Clinical Biochemistry is a plus
  • Experience of working in business market in multinational companies of IVD field ( is a plus)
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, whilst communicating in a positive and constructive manner with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams  
  • Obvious natural curiosity to go above and beyond expectations
  • Showcases creative thinking and a willingness to implement new approaches
  • Shows agility and flexible thinking
  • Good presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken in English
  • Availability to travel 40-60% of the time in Italy
  • Availability to travel internationally if needed
